Dan Hultquist

Meet Dan Hultquist, reverse mortgage educator and advocate. While known for his insightful books on the topic, Dan has also personally trained over 10,000 mortgage originators, agents, advisors, and regulators.

Despite his busy life, Dan enjoys curling up with federal regulations, and plays with FHA Mortgagee Letters like gifts on Christmas morning.

A Penn State alum with an MBA from Kennesaw State, Dan recently returned to Pennsylvania where he can hear the distant roar of Nittany Lions.

In a previous career, Dan was a club tennis pro and believes Wimbledon Sunday is a religious holiday. He now competes in national pickleball events, insisting “it is a real sport with real athletes.”

Jeff Birdsell

Jeff is a pioneer in reverse mortgage technology and one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. In the late ’90s, he created the first ever software application comparing HECM and proprietary products side by side—used widely across the industry, including by HUD counselors.

He served on the inaugural NRMLA Board in 1997 and has consulted with and designed software for major reverse mortgage platforms.

Jeff earned his CMB designation in 2006 and was named a Tech All-Star in 2016 by the Mortgage Bankers Association.

His deep knowledge and creativity power our Analyzer Pro. Outside of work, he enjoys building model trains, riding mountain bikes, and spending time with his wife, kids and grandchildren.
